Legal Residency in Indonesia
Through Your Child's Education
Skyhawk Academy is able to sponsor Student KITAS visas for enrolled families — providing a stable, education-aligned residency pathway for families living in Bali.
STUDENT VISA SPONSORSHIP
For many international families, the question of legal residency is one of the most important practical considerations when choosing to live and study in Bali.
Skyhawk Academy is registered with Indonesian immigration authorities and is able to sponsor the Student KITAS (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas) for enrolled students and their accompanying family members.
This means your child's enrolment at Skyhawk Academy can form the legal basis for your family's long-term residency in Indonesia.
WHAT IS A STUDENT KITAS?
A Student KITAS is a Limited Stay Permit issued to foreign nationals residing in Indonesia for the purpose of education. It is the most stable and appropriate long-term visa option for families attending an Indonesian registered school.

THE RECOMMENDED VISA PATHWAY
Step 1 — Social & Cultural Visa (B211) The B211 Social Visa is the recommended entry point for families relocating to Bali. It allows up to approximately 180 days of stay (with extensions) and is suitable for the initial settling-in period and trial month at Skyhawk.
Restriction: No employment or paid activity is permitted on this visa.
Step 2 — Trial Month at Skyhawk Academy Visa sponsorship is available following successful completion of the Trial Month. This mutual evaluation period allows both family and academy to confirm long-term suitability before formal enrolment and visa processing begins.
Step 3 — Student KITAS (Academy Sponsored) Upon successful enrolment, Skyhawk Academy initiates the sponsorship process for the Student KITAS. Families work with a licensed immigration agent to complete the application.
We can refer families to a recommended agent who works closely with the academy.
IMPORTANT GUIDANCE
-
Indonesian visa regulations change frequently. This page provides general guidance only and does not constitute legal advice.
-
Families must arrange all visa processing through a licensed immigration agent.
-
Do not rely on Tourist Visas for long-term residency — they do not provide the stability required for consistent academy attendance and are not an appropriate long-term solution.
-
Visa sponsorship is subject to successful completion of the Trial Month and formal enrolment.
