OUR LEARNING PROGRAMMES

Globally, many independent academies and alternative education models have shown that smaller, more flexible learning environments can achieve stronger academic and developmental outcomes alongside higher levels of community connection, innovation, and student engagement.

This is one of the reasons Skyhawk Academy remains an independent learning centre operating within Indonesia’s non-formal education framework. This model allows us to focus our energy on educational quality, student development, and learning culture while still delivering programmes aligned to internationally recognised academic standards and pathways.

In the British education model, formal qualifications and external examinations (IGCSE) can be accessed through accredited partner schools and authorised examination centres. This means that, provided students are properly prepared to meet the required standards, there is flexibility in how and where they pursue their educational pathway and examinations.

This is a well-established pathway used by many students internationally through independent academies, homeschooling models, private tuition, learning centres, and alternative education programmes.

The National Curriculum of England is the guiding framework, delivered through purposeful teaching, small class sizes, and a calm, focused learning environment. Learning is supported and sequenced using IXL’s standards-aligned diagnostic and practice platform.

Programmes cover six core learning areas:

  • English

  • Mathematics

  • Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

  • Humanities (History, Civics, Geography)

  • Creative Arts / Design & Technology

  • Physical Development

Cambridge IGCSE Subject Pathways

  • English Literature

ACADEMIC PROGRESS & ASSESSMENT

Student progress is monitored through a multi-source assessment framework combining:

  • IXL Diagnostic baseline and progress tracking

  • IXL skill checkpoints

  • Cambridge-aligned assessment materials

  • teacher assessment and classroom evidence

Assessment data is used to:

  • identify learning gaps

  • guide teaching and intervention

  • set achievable learning targets

  • monitor academic growth over time

This integrated approach supports clear and measurable student development.
