Part 1: Pushing Through the Tough Stuff

My math used to be really weak, but now it’s steadily getting better. I still don’t love it, yet I keep showing up every day because I know it’s essential for my future—especially to pass the IGCSE with strong grades. The same goes for football. I wasn’t very motivated before, but once I improved, everything changed. Now I play every single day, eagerly joining in during PE and break time.
Part 2: Life Without Screens is Actually Epic
Skywalker has made ditching screens genuinely fun. We dive into all kinds of games and adventures: morning adventure walks, intense card game sessions, the unforgettable Halloween show, epic slumber parties, and so much more. There’s always something exciting happening, so boredom simply doesn’t exist!
My absolute favorite off-screen activity is the adventure walk. Instead of staring at a screen, I’m discovering cool plants, laughing with friends, and returning home with stories worth telling. It’s a million times better than endless scrolling—and zero boredom guaranteed.
The most epic day so far? Hands down, the slumber party. We played football, watched a hilarious horror-comedy movie, and enjoyed delicious food. Later, we gathered in a circle to share spooky stories and heartfelt memories of people we’ve lost but deeply respected. It was thrilling, emotional, and pure joy—no screens needed, just great friends and good vibes.
Recently, I unlocked a brand-new skill: Jujitsu. And honestly? It’s way cooler than any video game. At first, I had no clue what I was doing—I kept messing up moves and falling awkwardly. But now I can escape takedowns and execute impressive submissions. Jujitsu isn’t just about fighting; it teaches you to stay calm under pressure and builds real discipline.
Part 3: Becoming More Social & Focused
I’ve become much more sociable with my friends. We stay after school to hang out and play games, and I joined the Football ECA too. The teamwork and energy there are incredible—it’s seriously strengthened our friendships and boosted our social skill
s.
Since cutting back on gaming, I feel sharper and full of energy. I sleep better, wake up earlier, and actually look forward to hanging out, playing football, and training Jujitsu. I used to zone out in class (and yeah, I still do sometimes), but now I push myself to focus, participate, and answer questions. My parents are proud, and I can feel myself slowly becoming the best version of me.
Part 4: Dreams, Ambition & Advice
My dream life? To become a professional martial arts fighter and compete in the UFC. I want to train relentlessly, master every technique, and step into the octagon. At the same time, I’m passionate about culinary arts—I dream of becoming a chef and opening my own successful restaurant.
One golden tip for students who feel they don’t have friends at school:
Be your own best friend first. Once you’re truly okay with yourself, the right people will naturally come into your life.
